Susan and Shane: Married.

“My grandma got married in this Chinese wedding outfit, and my mom wore it in her reception. I’d like to honor that and wear it in my ceremony, too!”

Thus began Susan’s laid-back priority list for her wedding day: be good to her family, break it down with her best friends… oh, and marry dat cutie Shane. And y’all, these two nailed it: the calmest pre-wed humans we ever did meet. The coolest mix of historic small town on the east coast (Leesburg, VA, WE SEE YOU CUTIE), vintage Chinese wedding garb worn by Susan’s mom and grandma to their own weddings, excellent vendors (who we raved about here), and at the very center of it all, a sweet couple who was chill as hell and just trying to celebrate the fact that they’d found each other. We can’t get enough of the couples who know what the important stuff is.

Susan and Shane, we are so into you two.

Ugh. Instagram captions. What the hell?

I've spent countless moments of my life staring at a blank instagram caption box. Try something - delete it. Put a quote in there - delete it. But I had a secret weapon... I'd just hand the phone to my wife. She's is a witty and wise firestorm of a woman and I love her for it. Apparently, so does instagram. Her irreverent, meandering, and poignant-as-hell captions have created a sense of community in our lives so that everywhere we travel, there’s usually someone willing to show us around (not to mention insta alone has literally put thousands of dollars in our bank account). So I made her sit down and explain what goes through her curly little head whenever her thumbs click away at her phone keyboard. Put your email below for her free guide on how to write insta captions that people actually care about and make the whole process (dare we say it) fun.. -Tim
