When I was little I used to put my long nightgowns over my head and pretend they were my hair. My frizzy little mullet was def NOT the silky blonde Barbie mane of my dreams and whenever I had that nightgown on I would sassily toss it around and pretend it was “in my way” and basically all the imaginary boys would come flocking (in real life my preschool crush was obsessed with Kimberly, the new girl from Hawaii whose hair I would probably still kill for, and I’ve lost track of what we were talking about here).
You might already know the depth of our love for Oriane and Chris after their engagement shoot became a lesson for me in never assuming you know someone’s story at first glance. But their wedding day– a classy day of Chicago architecture, Oriane’s French culture (and family flying out from Versailles because apparently that’s a sentence people say), vibrant love and understated glamour– became one of our highlights of last year. Pour yourself a glass of champagne and let’s all take a moment to gaze lovingly at Oriane’s hair, the literal embodiment of my nightgown dream hair, and how perfectly her and Chris’ wedding unfolded on a cold Chicago day. Dreams I tell you.
PS. Their INSANE apartment just got featured on Apartment Therapy and I sometimes just scroll through the photos on repeat. I am obsessed with it. Bye.
